Finance Director
Mary Joined Pearl Capital Partners as an accountant in June 2017. Her main responsibilities were implementing internal controls, accurate and timely financial reporting, treasury, tax and risk management, and ensuring that the company adheres to accounting principles and company policies.
In August 2019, Mary was promoted to Chief Finance Officer where she assumed management and supervisory responsibilities of the company’s finance and administration functions in addition to her previous roles. She is currently the Finance Director at PCP following her recent promotion in February 2024 in which position she plays a significant role in the company’s capital raising initiatives to support growth and investment objectives. Mary also supports the company with portfolio management as well as serving on boards of various investee companies as an Investment Director.
Mary was formerly employed as an Audit Associate with PKF Uganda and later as an Audit Senior with RSM Eastern Africa. She gained skills and expertise required to perform her duties as an accountant from her experience working for these two audit firms. Her demonstrated competence over the years enabled her to advance through the ranks to become Finance Director at Pearl Capital Partners.
Mary holds a master’s degree in business administration, she is a qualified chartered accountant and a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) with over 10 years of accounting experience.
